We operate out of Greenfield which is in the Oldham area but cover the UK and other countries worldwide and are hoping that with the website in place we can build further on this, but please bear with us as it will take some time to get all the stock onto it as we literally have millions of products in stock. We have been computerising stock for several months and now have over 15,000 individual new products on it and still have more to put on. We are putting the stock on the website as and when another batch is ready. We also have plenty of photographs of the stock which will take some time to upload, however if in the meantime you would like to see a picture of anything then please email us. Our priority has been 2nd hand items as the new items from Hornby, Bachmann, Peco etc. are readily available to view on their websites and a quick phone call to us will establish if we have in stock what you require if not we will try and get it for you. If you have any other specific requirements then please email, telephone or call in and see us where we will make you very welcome and we will do our utmost to help you. If we haven't got it we will try and get it for you. Though the shop has been established since 1957 and in that time has built up an excellent reputation as a specialist in model railways and model railway accessories. On 1st July 2008 we celebrated our 3rd anniversary since the takeover from the previous owner and founder of the business. Sadly Norman passed away on 10th November 2007 after only having such a short retirement, which is such a shame after all those years dedicated to his hobby and business. We are still carrying on the good name and reputation that this shop has earned over the years and have many years experience in the industry and all our staff are professional, courteous and friendly. We are attending exhibitions at various venue's throughout the year and have bookings through into November 2008. As well as offering a comprehensive range of new locomotives and rolling stock we also offer an extensive range of second hand stock in various gauges. Both new and second hand items include stock of Hornby, Hornby Dublo, Triang, Wrenn, Bachmann, Lima, Graham Farish and many more. We have plenty of 2nd hand buildings, track and other accessories in various gauges. Stock is changing all the time. Within the shop we have an extensive range of model railway, bus and tram kits, model railway accessories, modelling tools and components, whether you are building from a kit or scratch building. Also on offer is a full range of railway, bus, tram and transport books, magazines, videos, DVDs, pictures, limited edition ceramics and collectable pewter figures. We also offer a model railway repair, kit building and painting service and are an official registered Hornby repair centre. We are stockists of P & D Marsh, Metcalfe, Slaters, Peco, Parkside Dundas, Ten Commandments, Javis, Langley, Gaugemaster, Alan Gibson, Romford, Wills, Ratio, SMP, Woodland Scenics, K & M trees, Cambrian, Coopercraft, Superquick and many more. We have introduced new areas within the shop which covers three floors and includes a comprehensive second hand book, video and DVD room. These books, videos and Dvd's include buses, trams and other transport related subjects. We are working on a picture gallery of which we have numerous pictures of the Duke of Gloucester on its visit to Stalybridge in September of 2005 and limited addition pictures of The Delph Donkey by Michael Hutchinson. We are happy to get items for other hobbies that are not related to railways and transport. We also have a savings scheme in place which operates all year round.
